About us

Peaks & Pines Backcountry Guides

Welcome to Peaks and Pines Backcountry Guides, your go-to guide service for unforgettable outdoor experiences! We are passionate outdoor enthusiasts dedicated to helping you discover the beauty of the backcountry, whether you’re a first-time adventurer or a seasoned explorer.

Born out of a love for overnight backpacking and camping, Peaks and Pines was created to share our knowledge and inspire others to connect with nature through hands-on learning and immersive experiences. We offer a variety of trips and events for all experience and skill levels, including standard group backpacking trips, private guided adventures, and skill retreats designed to teach you the fundamentals of outdoor skills, navigation, and camping.

Our trips are designed to guide small to medium-sized groups, allowing for a more intimate and personalized experience. Whether you're looking to join an open group adventure, arrange a private trip for friends or family, or attend a retreat to hone your outdoor skills, we provide tailored experiences that focus on learning in the field while enjoying the natural world around you.

We primarily guide trips in Central Pennsylvania and Northern New Jersey, offering everything from beginner-friendly overnight hikes to more challenging, advanced level multi-day treks. Our goal is to create a relaxed and supportive environment where you can learn essential outdoor skills while building confidence and creating lasting memories.

At Peaks and Pines Backcountry Guides, we believe that nature has a unique way of teaching, and we are here to help you embrace it fully. Whether you're looking to deepen your skills, explore new terrains, or simply enjoy a beautiful weekend in the woods, we’re excited to be a part of your journey.

Come join us for an adventure you won’t forget!
